Virginia’s Premier Fast-pitch Organization to Host 8th Annual Golf Classic
Suffolk, VA. The Virginia
Legends announced today that the organization will host the 8th Annual
Spring Golf Classic on Friday, May 6. Two courses will offer one round of golf
each. Shot gun starts are 11 am at Nansemond-River Golf Club and 1 pm at Sleepy
Hole Golf Course, both in Suffolk, VA. Registration for both courses is $500 per
foursome and includes green fees, boxed lunch, all day beverages, long drive
contest and closest to the pin contest. All proceeds from the Classic will
benefit over 200 female student-athletes.
The Spring Classic
will also feature silent auction items, 50/50 raffles, awesome prizes and
giveaways and course contests hosted by the various Virginia Legend teams and
their families. The 16U and 18U teams will manage the event at Nansemond-River
Golf Course and the 12U and 14U groups will manage the Sleepy Hole Golf Course
event.
The mission of the
Virginia Legends Fast Pitch Organization is to prepare, develop and encourage
softball student-athletes to achieve their academic, athletic and life goals.
We do this through skill development, education counseling, nutrition
awareness, high-level competition, positive mentoring and talent exposure. All
Legends are committed to athletic excellence on the field, academic excellence
in the classroom, and exceptional sportsmanship everywhere they are. The
Virginia Legends have been supporting and developing softball student-athletes since
1985 and have provided opportunities to players who have been awarded over 4
million in softball scholarships in the past two years alone.
Sponsorships for both
courses are available with prices ranging from $100 Hole Sponsorships to $2500
Title Sponsorships. Donations are also accepted. More information about both

Virginia Legends Host Golf Tournaments at Two Courses
Suffolk, VA. Virginia’s Premier Fastpitch Organization has scheduled the 8th Annual Spring Golf Classic. On Friday, May 6, Nansemond-River Golf Club and Sleepy Hole Golf Course will host the Virginia Legends and their volunteers to help raise funds for the organization.
The Virginia Legends Travel Softball Club strives to give young ladies the opportunity to excel in fast pitch softball on a year-round basis. The organization's goal is to give each of their players every opportunity to showcase their talent in front of as many college coaches and scouts as possible, in hopes of them realizing their dreams of playing at the collegiate level.
All Legends are committed to athletic excellence on the field, academic excellence in the classroom, and exceptional sportsmanship everywhere they are. The Virginia Legends have been funding travel for teams to tournaments nationwide since 1985.
Locally based, Virginia Legend teams travel to tournaments throughout Virginia, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, California, Oregon, South Carolina, and New York.
As a part of their fundraising efforts, the Virginia Legends host two golf tournaments each year. This one in the spring and another in the fall at Heron Ridge Golf Course in Virginia Beach, VA. Each tournament brings the Legends one step closer to helping the Legend players achieve their performance and collegiate goals.
