Virginia Legends Host Golf Tournaments at Two Courses

Suffolk, VA. Virginia’s Premier Fastpitch Organization has scheduled the 8th Annual Spring Golf Classic. On Friday, May 6, Nansemond-River Golf Club and Sleepy Hole Golf Course will host the Virginia Legends and their volunteers to help raise funds for the organization.

The Virginia Legends Travel Softball Club strives to give young ladies the opportunity to excel in fast pitch softball on a year-round basis. The organization's goal is to give each of their players every opportunity to showcase their talent in front of as many college coaches and scouts as possible, in hopes of them realizing their dreams of playing at the collegiate level.

All Legends are committed to athletic excellence on the field, academic excellence in the classroom, and exceptional sportsmanship everywhere they are. The Virginia Legends have been funding travel for teams to tournaments nationwide since 1985.

Locally based, Virginia Legend teams travel to tournaments throughout Virginia, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, California, Oregon, South Carolina, and New York.

As a part of their fundraising efforts, the Virginia Legends host two golf tournaments each year. This one in the spring and another in the fall at Heron Ridge Golf Course in Virginia Beach, VA. Each tournament brings the Legends one step closer to helping the Legend players achieve their performance and collegiate goals.

The tournament is a 4-Man Team Format and is $400 per team. Please click this link to learn more about the tournament and how you can donate, play or become a sponsor.
